Day 50 - Mar 19. Routeburn track - day 1. Fine and sunny on the east side of the Harris Saddle but low cloud on the western side. The forecast was for more cloud tomorrow so after a couple of mugs of tea I decided to thrash up to the Saddle in case the weather closed in. The sign said it was two hours to the saddle but it took me an hour and a quarter. The following day we did it in one and a half hours with full packs.
