There's nothing quite like that first brew upon returning to the hut after a long Alpine route.  All the pressures of the day are gone - the pre-dawn start after a restless night in an overheated hut, an attempt to force down a bit of breakfast at some ungodly hour, and the tensions of the climb itself.  But now is the time to relax and wind down, and to relive in one's mind the exhilarations of the previous hours.
