from Pt. de Pichères

Pt. de Pichères is a minor peak near the village of Peisey-Nancroix, in the Vanoise National Park.  A useful training climb though, and it offers a spectacular view.  On this particular day we reached the summit in good time but bad weather was racing in from the south and by the time we got back to our bivouac spot, just a couple of hours after taking this shot, it was raining hard.
