Sunday 26th March 00.  Bamford Edge, near Hathersage.  All sorts of gloom & doom forecast - heavy showers, snow, hail, thunder and a plague of frogs.  Good job I took no notice.  Temperature inversion early in the morning gave thick fog in the Hope Valley, then the clouds built up rapidly, but nothing materialised except a half-hearted hail shower which lasted ten minutes.  I lied about the frogs.
